The 2^nd HBP Education School offered a comprehensive programme covering all aspects of software, hardware, simulation, databasing, robotics and theory relevant to the HBP research programme. 

The programme comprised parallel lectures on advanced and basic levels, hands-on tutorials on software tools and neuromorphic hardware systems, practical exercises and evening lectures providing a high-level view of the project, computing and ethical aspects of artificial neural systems. 

The school offered ample opportunities for scientific discussions between students and faculty during dedicated discussion sessions, tutorials and various social events. All students presented short lightning talks on their own research work to stimulate the discussion.

Participation in the 2^nd HBP School 2015 was open to advanced master students, postgraduate students and young researchers working in one of the research areas covered by the project.
