The HBP Education Programme is an interdisciplinary teaching programme offering innovative training formats for young researchers working in and between the fields of neuroscience, ICT, and medicine.
The HBP Curriculum combines distance learning courses and complementary face-to-face workshops that provide basic lessons in the HBP core fields neuroscience, medicine and ICT for young researchers outside their area of specialisation. In addition, it includes courses on the subjects of ethics as well as intellectual property rights, translation and exploitation of research.
The more advanced HBP Schools are five-day trainings that provide in-depth lectures and tutorials. This format aims at focussing on specific questions and challenges from a transdisciplinary point of view to overcome the borders between the various disciplines.
An annual HBP Student Conference organised by young researchers for young researchers aims at encouraging collaboration and scientific exchange across the fields of neuroscience, brain medicine and computer science. Within the framework of the conference, students get the chance to present their own research and engage in extensive discussions with peers and faculty.
In order to offer training opportunities and encourage user engagement, Young Researchers Events are organised to provide a setting for the HBP Platforms to present their results and tools to young scientists.
At all events, video material is collected and processed to be made publicly available in the HBP Education Programme E-library.
